Diabetes Education Office
RMH is certified through the American
Diabetes Association. Patients who stay on top of the latest information
are more likely to remain healthy. The American Diabetes Association
often changes the Standards of Care to keep pace with the most
recent scientific findings on diabetes. For example, blood sugar
levels once considered acceptable are much stricter, but diet
guidelines are more flexible. The focus of the diabetes diet used
to be sugar, but that is no longer the case.
