The Special Deliveries Unit has 6 Labor Delivery Room suites designed with a comfortable, homelike atmosphere.

We offer a variety of services for our clients such as:

• Initial prenatal screening and assessment
• Baby Beginnings and Beyond is a program that offers education and information about pregnancy, labor and delivery, and infant care
• Antepartal testing
• Childbirth education classes (Register Now - printable form)

And after delivery we have:

• Weight check and newborn assessments until infant is gaining weight
• Bilirubin/jaundice assessment
• Lactation services; breastfeeding support

Other items of interest are alternative pain options offered by SDU:

• Massage therapy
• Aroma therapy
• Music therapy
• Heat and ice

A birth plan can be made available for the expectant mother to allow her many choices and to plan the birth as she would like.
