| Ostomy Care
Instructed by: Karen Stine, RN
In this session you will learn the basics of ostomy care from RMH’s ostomy nurse, Karen Stine. She will provide
you with tools to confidently care for any ostomy patient and provide patient/family education. This is a really fun
hands-on class.
At the end of this course,
the participant will be able to:
- - Describe at least 2 types of ostomies.
- - Discuss selection of ostomy equipment and demonstrate application of an ostomy appliance.
- - List points to remember when changing ostomy devices.
- - Develop a teaching plan to assist the patient and family with ostomy care.
All Classes are held in RMH Conference Room A
from 1pm - 4pm.
