In this session you will learn the basics of ostomy care from RMH’s ostomy nurse, Karen Stine. She will provide
you with tools to confidently care for any ostomy patient and provide patient/family education. This is a really fun
hands-on class.
What is the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program?
The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is the first neonatal outreach education program to focus exclusively
on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick newborns. This valuable, accessible
and easy-to-remember mnemonic-based resource serves as a concise guideline to organize the
myriad of details and interventions necessary for stabilizing a sick infant.
Who should take the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Learner Course?
Any health caregiver involved with post-resuscitation / pre-transport care of sick newborns:
Physicians: Pediatric, ER and family practice physicians including residents
Nurses: RNs working in L&D, postpartum, nursery, ER, Nurse midwives; LPN’s
Others: Respiratory therapists, Pre-hospital providers – EMT’s, Paramedics
Cost:
No cost to RMH employees/affiliates unless
you want to purchase the book ($40). Please
do NOT mark on manuals unless you have
purchased.
This course requires a pre-test that will be
given out upon registration. Once the test
is completed and returned, you will receive
the textbook.
Class is held in RMH Conference Room A
from 8am - 4:30pm.
