Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutritional Services, the Dietary Specialist performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties as well as other related tasks.
EMERGENCY – REGISTERED NURSE
Full Time (36 hrs wk) Mids 1p – 1a & PRN II
Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with ED physicians regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Must be licensed RN in the state of Kansas.
INFECTION PREVENTION TECH
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES – INFECTION PREVENTION TECH
PRN (as needed) – Experience Preferred but not required
Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, exam rooms, rest rooms, hallways, elevators and stairways according to procedures. Practices infection control techniques in all duties. Empties trash and garbage containers, replenishes supplies, and may change sheets and replenish linens. Notifies director concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and participates in regular meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
CODER PROVIDER SERVICES
HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT – CODER PROVIDER SERVICES
Full Time (40 hrs wk) Monday – Friday with flexible hours
Experienced coder for Provider services to code and bill utilizing ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS and modifiers. Experience with RHC billing helpful. Experience with payers and electronic billing systems preferred. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, self-motivation, ability to be a team player. RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CCS-P preferred.

Performs imaging procedures for the purpose of providing diagnostic interpretation including trauma radiography, surgery radiography, CT and Nuc Med procedures. Assists with filing and reporting system within the department and registers patients as needed. Assist radiologist as necessary. Required to have ARRT, R & LRT in the state of Kansas. Nuc Med: RTN, CNMT or board eligible.

LABORATORY – MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST – Full Time (40 hrs wk) – Monday – Friday 10 – 6:30p With Rotating Weekends
Responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory. The MT must have 4 year Baccalaureate, MT(ASCP or CLS (MLS) or board eligible.

Assists with the receipt, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the Materials Management Department by the various vendors. Responsible for maintaining accurate Item Master data. Responsible for maintaining par levels in the Materials Management stockroom and inventory control. Responsible for the customer service of assigned department(s). Serves as back-up for other Materials Management staff and his/her assigned duties. Communicates with department Directors both in the hospital and off-campus to facilitate special ordering and ensure procurement procedures are followed. Performs other duties as assigned.
RN TEAM LEADER
MEDICAL SURGICAL – IN PATIENT RN TEAM LEADER
Full Time (36 hrs wk) Nights 6:30p – 6:30a
Licensed registered nurse shares accountable for the effective organization and functioning of the Medical/Surgical unit during his/her shift, assists Inpatient Services Manager, in the overall management of the unit, collaborates with nursing and other health care personnel for safe and effective patient care for all age groups of patients, provides patient care as necessary. Must be licensed RN in the state of Kansas.
Med Surg/I.C.U – REGISTERED NURSE FLOAT
Full-time (36 hrs wk) Night Shift 7pm-7am – Weekend Option Available
Licensed registered nurse to float ICU and Medical-Surgical Unit. Accountable for providing patient care as a professional care giver or as leader of a nursing team, providing care for patients. Collaborates with nursing and other health care personnel to provide safe and effective patient care for all age groups or patients. ICU experience required. Must be licensed RN in the state of KS.
NURSING ADMINISTRATION – NURSING SUPERVISOR
The Nursing House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Administrator and/or designee, the Nursing House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call. Must be licensed RN in the state of Kansas.
REGISTRATION – FLOAT SWITCHBOARD & CLERK
PRN (as needed) for all shifts
Switchboard description: responsible for the hospital switchboard, ensuring incoming phone calls are greeted and routed appropriately. This position is physically located in the Emergency Department. Greets patients who present to the Emergency Room window. Responsible for creating temporary registrations in the computer system, which allows for immediate bedding for ER patients. Responsible for calling codes utilizing the overhead paging system. Performs other clerical duties as assigned. Ensures patients’ privacy is protected by complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. Clerk description: Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have hospital based outpatient testing or procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters demographic and insurance information required for admission into the computer system correctly. Collects point of service collections from patients upon the registration process. Acts as a financial counselor in aiding patients with billing questions and setting up payment arrangements. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Performs other secretarial/clerical duties as needed.
ADVANCED REGISTERED NURSE PRACTITIONER – PRN II – must work 1 weekend each month. Hours noon to 9p Monday – Friday, 10a – 6pm Sat/Sun & Holidays
Responsible for providing primary healthcare to patients and families, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education and counseling. Works with supervision of a physician following established guidelines as required and within established scope of practice for each discipline. Must be licensed ARNP in the state of Kansas.
PHYSICIAN PRACTICES UROLOGY – CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Part Time (32 hrs wk) Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays 8a – 5p
Must be a certified MA. Perform clerical and/or patient care duties in the medical practice to support medical providers and nursing in the examination and treatment of clinic patients. These staff members function under the supervision and authority of the licensed physician, or non-physician provider licensed in State of Kansas. Maintains efficient patient flow, supports an environment of patient safety and satisfaction and demonstrates problem-solving skills. Constructively collaborates with team to find the optimal office efficiencies while maintaining patient centered care. Available to provide back-up and coverage to multiple RMH clinics, registration desks, and performing front and back office duties; schedules appointments, greets patients, and prepares charts; performs registration and check-in/out functions; verifies insurance benefits; maintains various records and databases of information; prepares correspondence and reports; assists the supervising physician in direct patient care, including exams and treatments within the office setting. Responds to caller general information requests and inquiries; refers callers to appropriate area; performs other duties as assigned.
REHABILITATION SERVICES – STAFF PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Full Time (40 hrs wk) with weekend rotation
Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment. Administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (PTA, Rehab Aide etc.). The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Provides input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis while patient care is documented thoroughly. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs. **Baccalaureate Degree required with Master of Science in PT or Doctor of PT preferred. Must have PT license in the state of Kansas. CPR within one month of hire**
ORT – SURG TECH – PRN II
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is prepared for procedure. Monitors par level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Formal scrub tech training from Vocational school or armed forces preferred; CST license preferred. Call required with 15-minute response time.
