Prerequisites
Email the online pretest to Franklin County EMS (DHall@franklincoks.org) three days before the class date with a passing score to enter the class.
All participants must have a current CPR card and demonstrate proficiency in CPR during class.
What You Will Learn
- Initiate timely recognition and interventions to prevent pediatric respiratory and cardiac arrest.
- Apply the systematic approach to pediatric assessment in a simulated patient.
- Determine appropriate PALS priorities and perform interventions for the infant/child with respiratory and/or circulatory emergencies with an arrhythmia scenario.
- Demonstrate effective communication and team dynamics in simulated pediatric resuscitation.
Class Fees
No cost to RMH Staff/Affiliates whose jobs require PALS
RMH Staff/Affiliates whose jobs DO NOT require PALS: $130
Non-RMH Staff/Affiliates: $250
Registration is considered complete once payment is received.
Cancellation
A full refund will be given if cancellation is made within 48 hours of scheduled class. No refund will be given after the 48-hour deadline except in case of emergency. A $50.00 payroll deduction will be applied for no call/no show. Full refunds are given if RMH cancels the class.
Book Fee (if not returned)
RMH Staff/Affiliates: If the book is not returned at the conclusion of the class, you will be charged a $50 book fee by payroll deduction.
Non-RMH Staff/Affiliates: The cost of the book is included in the class fee.
