What You Will Learn

  • Differentiate pulmonary and cardiac etiologies of cyanosis/respiratory distress in the neonate.
  • Discuss nursing care of the neonate with cyanosis/respiratory distress, to include guidelines for drawing blood gases, naso- and oral-gastric tube, and peripheral IV insertion and
    management .
